Models are honored to wear the most beautiful and expensive clothes in the world, why then are their faces full of sadness? “Do not forget that the guests of the show should see first of all the clothes, and not the model itself. If we smiled, then all the attention of the audience would switch to our faces, ”says one of the top models.
“Today in the modeling business, the absence of emotions on the girl’s face is encouraged during the show,” said the famous ex-model Claudia Schiffer. In the 1960s, at the shows of collections, models were natural, they smiled, laughed and even danced to music.
They were a person. Now the fashion reigns on the catwalk, not the models themselves. Everything has changed dramatically: the main thing is that the model copes well with its task and displays clothing favorably. No emotion. ”
And it turns out that achieving a hazy and absent look throughout the defile is not so easy! In order to “hold face” during the show, girls have to go to different tricks. So, 18-year-old Klara from Slovakia shares her signature trick: “When I walk on the catwalk, I think about something sad.”
